While the rich man in Hell was troubled with a gnawing memory of wasted opportunities to be saved while on Earth, the believer can rejoice in full measure for time and eternity that God has put away his sins, forever to remember them no more. “I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions, and, as a cloud, your sins: return unto Me; for I have redeemed you” (Isa. 44:22).

The person who believes right and walks right will be honored by the Lord. He will be like a tree beside refreshing waters, a tree that grows stronger day-after-day. He in turn, will bless others with his abundant supply of fruit and prosper all the days of his life.

Peace with God comes from God’s justifying grace. The peace of God is that moment-by-moment sustaining grace which assures our hearts that all is well; God is in control of every situation.
